Turkey displays

I searched around a little bit in this conference but didnt come up with much. I was just curious as to what everyone does with all of their beards, tail fans, spurs, etc. from all the turkeys that they shoot over the years. I have several fan and beard mounts already and just was wondering what everyone else does with all of their trophies.

I tan my tails and mount them on the Lohman turkey fan plaques. They have a brass appearance and a tom engraved in them. They have a place for 5 beards but I put a beard in the middle hole and put my spurs on leather straps with Indian beads and hang them in the two outside holes. I'll try to post a pic, they look really nice. I do around 10 to 15 of these a year for friends and family.

I'm kind of in the same boat. Have three fans on the wall and no more room. I've been saving the spurs on a string like Skully, and alwyas save the brass end of my shotgun shell to hang the beard from.

I can say I only have shot 2 jakes in my life, that was last year. I did a tail fan mount of each but the second one is going to become a turkey decoy tail fan!! I will probably just hand them up and when I start cumultaing them maybe put them near the fire place with everything else. I have seen some guys have beard boxes and some guys put their beards on a big string. I also have seen some guys put all their spurs on a big string, just some ideas!

That is a great idea for a extra fan. Will have to try that one. One fan and the rest beards hanging on the wall for me. Running out of room. Wife is taking over. And wants more Antlers than turkey stuff. What does a guy do! At least she accepts something. It is upstairs in the sitting room even.

I make my own boards and mount my own fans. This is an eastern/merriam hybrid from North Dakota. I like them because you can hang several beards on each mount. I am in the process of putting all my spurs on leather strands with beads. Not sure how I'll incorporate them into the fan mounts.
