Well after having awesome luck scouting and getting turkeys to come to me I FINALLY got it done with the bow! Fri night I setup on some birds I've been watching for a while now. I got setup and had only been seeing one Tom and he would show up in the bean field I was set up in every night. I got set up and was just getting seated in my blind and looked up and there he was strutting out in the corn stalks in the next field. I pulled my binos up and watched him. Out of no where I had a Tom show up and start heading for my jake, to say I wasn't ready is an understatement... I had to put my release on grab my bow out of my junk bow stand and knock an arrow... As I grabbed my bow I bumped the blind and he got the heck out of there, not in a big hurry but he knew something was up. I sat in my blind and roosted the two toms that night and decided it would be a good idea to leave my blind setup where it was and I'd get on them first thing in the morning. Well a buddy had called and wanted to go along. We got set up in the blind and sure enough the two toms I roosted the night before flew down and strutted no more than 150 yards from us, they turned and came right for us... I was going to take the first and he'd take the second. I shot and missed and screwed the whole hunt up. So Saturday night it rained so it came down to this morning. A buddy and I set up on ground that we didn't do our homework on and you can about imagine how that panned out. We got out of there at like 7:30 am and headed for a different spot. We got setup at about 8:15 and I let out a few yelps. We had a gobble back and within minutes he was on top of the decoys and I sealed the deal.
