Turkey Habits Question

I'm an admitted novice at turkey hunting.
I was wondering if/how things like high pressure moving in affect the way turkeys move in the morning and during the day and if it it makes them move and gobble more? Conversely, do crappy, rainy, windy days limit movement & gobbling? Or do they just do their thing regardless of what the weather's doing?

They will be more active on a high pressure day but if it is following a cold front, I have seen the first day after often to find them quite silent. Rainy days with wind are often silent mornings BUT and its a big BUT..they are very killable in the fields and will come to calls very well, albeit silent sometimes.

I remember in 2004 it was raining so hard that I closed all the windows and held down the blind. I swore I heard a gobble so I peeked out and coming at a fast trot, stopping to gobble every ten yards, with rain just falling down like crazy, came a big ol TOM right into the deeks with a soaked fan.

Hit the fields when its nasty and be patient, rain just doesnt bother them. High pressure at the worst is a beautiful morning, so enjoy it, and eventully they start working as the day heats up. the only time i don't hunt is when its lightning or REALLY blowing say 35-40+. All of this is just MO though.....so you may want to do the opposite....:D
