Turkey Hunting?

I went out today and I can't get the dang toms away from the hens they're with and I pissed the hens off to get them in close but then they backed off. I then had a jake come in and tried to pull my bow back and my blind is too small! So, I got up in a stand and placed my 2 hen dekes out below and I had a tom come in with 5 hens at 50 yards and the hens wanted to beat the crap out of the dekes but got nervous for some reason.

Any other tactics to get them in close? I have a larger blind, just a pain to bring out there everytime.

I wouldn't hunt out of a stand. Especially a 6 footer. Turkeys can pick you off extremely easy. Maybe when the leaves are up and over 20ft but even then your limiting yourself. Turkeys like wide open spaces. A blind in the middle of the field will work flawless. I would be buying a bigger blind.
