Hey Maynardville,
My biggest turkey that I have ever shot weighed 28lb.s, had a 11 1/2 inch beard, and had 1 1/4 inch limb hangers. He was a pretty big boy. I shot him during first season, and I think that he would've weighed less if it would've been later in the season due to searching for hens and breeding. I'm all about the beard and the spurs, I dont' really care how much he weighs. I think the state record in Iowa is right around 32lbs, but i'm not completely sure on that. My dad shot two years ago that weighed 29.4 pounds to be exact on our digital scale. I would say on average out of the turkeys that I have killed have weighed right around 21-23lbs. Beard prolly about 9-10 inches, and spurs between 3/4 to one inch. Anything bigger then this I would consider a large turkey.
