Turkey Vests

Turkey season is almost here and I can already hear them gobbling in my sleep! Since it is snowing and ugly out I thought I would see what everyone uses for a turkey vest. I know there are quite a few on the market with a lot of different features. I started turkey hunting in 2004 and I bought a lounger to use and it works great for gun hunting. Thanks to Limb I will be hunting out of a Double Bull this spring with my bow and I was wondering what everyone else uses in a blind or in the open. By the way Limb, I hope to add the marks on the inside of the blind! You have quite the count on there

I use a Highback Turkey Lounger from Bucklick Creek. It is in my opinion the best vest made. It doesn't have much padding on the seat but it really doesn't need it since it uses the "sling" type if seat, simmilar to climbing stands. The part I like best are the mesh interior pockets so you can see what you are looking for, and the high back makes actually leaning against the tree unecessary. I just sit really close to the tree. It has helped me kill a lot of toms since I can remain completely motionless and not have the tree knot in the middle of the back problem. It is also perfect for those naps in the sunshine waiting for the hens to nest and the gobblers to get lonesome. Next to my gun and mouth calls it is my most essential piece of equipment.

i've been wearing out my cabela's, trying to decide which one to get. i've out grown my old one, in more ways than one

I use a primos gobbler vest, then when I get inside my blind I take it off so I can draw with no resistance.
