Twins

Drove around the hunting grounds this weekend and saw 17 deer in three miles. Of this 5 does had twin. One doe with only one fawn. Is this uncommon?? No antlers but they are there!!!!!

What is the average survival rate??

It's my understanding that older does have twins, and sometimes triplets, while younger does, I'm not sure of what age, have single fawns. It sounds like the majority of deer in your hunting area, are mature does.
