No, if it was it would be growing from a seperet base.

I agree, no. Like rattfink mentioned, there would be two separate bases. That one is simply split in half through the fatty part that connects them all together.

I think it depends on how you look at it.. A few days ago, someone posted a picture of 22 morels sharing a common base. Would you call that one-mushroom or 22? I agree with Liv4Rut and rattfink though.... I wouldn't call it a 'true' double beard, however, it's definately not a 'normal' single beard. Let's just call it a 'one and a half'.

I have several beards that look like that, it is a single beard. I also have a 4 bearded bird, and they are all 4 seperate bases.
