Anybody got a flak jacket for deer. He's gonna be something special in a few years. How old do you think he is? Looks very young to me. All legs, no body. Very spindly rack.

I'd like to see him next to a 1.5 year old. He doesn't look near the size of the 2.5 year olds I've seen. Hard to tell with nothing to compare him to though. Regardless that's a young deer with all kinds of potential!
 
regardless, he is young and is going to have some long mainbeams in 1-2 years. He's something special
 
Id say 1.5 year old, man is he going to be a monster if hes that young. I agree, you need to lock him up in a barn!!
 
If that deer is a 1.5 yr he may be a little to dumb to survive the season carrying that headgear. Hope he makes it.
 
that deer has some great potential. i think 2.5. the hard part is somebody not whacking him just judging by rack size and not age. great genetics. definately young deer who can truly be something in two years
 
I'd have to say 2.5, but if he's is only 1.5 i can't wait to see him at 4.5. Regardless of how old he is i think he's going to be a monster.
 
I would seriously doubt that is his first rack...my vote, he is 2 year old.

His body has a long ways to go before he really starts pouring it all to his antlers.

That is exactly what you want to see on a super young deer.

I found a shotgun kill one year that wasn't recovered. It was a 2 year old buck that had an 18 inch spread and 10 points. The rack lacked any good mass and was super thin. He had a heck of a frame for such a young deer.

Kinda of a shame...

He should be safe if he stays put. Real small woods and I don't believe there's much hunting pressure in the area. My buddy kicked a booner 10 out of here last year during thanksgiving doe season. I'll be after him come the end of Oct.

It will be neat to see this one grow if he stays alive and I can keep tabs on him.
