You know your property better than anyone. Is there a good chance that they will stick around or live to see another year? If so, I would let a 3 year old with great potential walk. It would be hard to do with these bucks though. Tough decisions.......Good luck Chris!:way:
You have to ask yourself this question. Do I want to shoot a 145"-150" class buck or 175"? If the answer 175" then you'll have to pass the three year olds with genetics like those two have. Liv4Rut said it right. Go big or go home. Let em walk.
If I had more big deer in my area that I could hunt I would let them walk. But if those are the two biggest deer on my property I would arrow one of them. Ideally we would always let a 3 and 4 yr old walk. Those do look like they will baloon into GIANTS if they are only 3 1/2.
I dont think either one will be particularly impressive out of velvet, so hopefully when you see them this fall they wont be to tempting 4 ya. Great potential on both but that second one will scare ya if he gets to 5! Thanks for sharing :drink1:
Chris, with the amount of older, quality bucks you have running around... these guys should probably be left alone. I agree with dedgeez, I don't think either one will be all that impressive hard horn.
i would say if they have no chance of getting shot by someone else than let them walk, if they could go to the neighbors easily or if there is a highway close, shoot if given the chance
