I am in the process of picking new sights and arrows for my new bow that will be in next week. I am selling my Destroyer 350 (in classifieds) and getting the BowTech Insanity CPX. It will be set at 65lbs and 29" draw. I shoot a truglo 4 pin horizontal sight. It is a nice sight but might get something different if it sells with the bow. Im thinking about trying vertical pins on the sights. Anybody have advice on vertical pin sights? Good? Bad? Pros/Cons. I was also wondering if anybody has suggestions for new arrows. I want speed, durability, but most of all I want accuracy. Any advice would be much appreciated thanks.

I currently shoot an Extreme Archery sight, but am thinking of switching to HHA Optimizer. A lot of people on here shoot HHA sights.

For Arrows I shoot Gold Tip XT Hunters and Expedition Hunters. Gold Tip Pro Hunters are cream of the crop in my opinion. I've shot Eastons and Carbon Express also, but after seeing John Dudley's YouTube video about Carbon Express' "Dual Spine Weight Forward" technology, never again will I support Carbon Express. A lot of people like Easton Axis or FMJ but I can't afford those.

Also, all Cabelas, BassPro, and Scheels "Outfitter" Arrows are made by gold tip.

I can't help you on the sight since I shoot a Black Gold (love it).

I've heard nothing but good about Gold Tip arrows and I know several guys on here shoot them. I've shot nothing but Easton Axis for the last 5 years (carbon n-fused the last 2-3 years) and absolutely love them. Very accurate and very durable.

I switched to an hha sight last year, will probably never go back to horizontal pins, hha is made in America also

I have HHA sights on 2 of my bows and like them, but when hunting sometimes I'd rather have pins, cuz If a bucks chases a doe in and runs a bit after you've drawn you can't adjust your sight. But for 3d shooting there's nothing better. I have the HHA with the turn dial on one bow and its way better than the bow with the slider type.

Haven't heard anyone complain about an HHA... I have shot mine for 6 years and wont shoot anything else. As far as arrows, i am definitely and Easton guy. I shot Axis for awhile. Good arrow for whitetail hunting, a little heavier than i wanted though. I then shot Light Speeds for a couple years. Probably one of the fastest arrows on the market. (7 gpi in a 400) I currently shoot bloodlines. Shot 4 deer this year, never broke an arrow. Seem to hold up to the Easton name so far.

I keep going back to my HHA 1 pin slider sight. I've tried tons of multiple pin sights and always end up back. It's just simpler to use and very very rugged.

I shoot the PSE arrows from a while back and they work well for me. Easton also makes a really good arrow in most of their models as well. I'd shoot axis if I didn't have over a dozen uncut shafts.

I've tried vertical pins and did not care for them. In a game of trajectory, I felt like it was easier to see where your pin actually was on the deer/target with the horizontal pins. Just personal preference I guess. Love my spot hogg. It's very micro adjustable and rock solid.

As far as shafts, I've always shot Gold Tips with great success. They make a great arrow. Another great arrow that I tried out last year is the Muddy Bloodsport line of arrows, the arrows are also made in Iowa if you care to support industry in your state.

I love Spott Hogg sights, they're expensive as all get out but they're worth it in my opinion.

I have never shot anything but GoldTip arrows, they've never let me down once. It just so happens that I have a dozen new in the box GoldTip 55/75 arrows fletched with 2 inch Blazers if you're interested.

What model gold tips are they and what is the GPI on those? And what is the straightness? I will do some 3D shoots but mostly deer hunting. I'd like a light/fast arrow but yet heavy enough to be durable and accurate. Is there such arrows or will I have to pick between durability and speed?

Can you add a link to that video? I've never seen it.
