Is the use of electronic calls for deer legal in Iowa? I am unable to find anything that says it isn't. Has anyone ever used these and had any success?
I don't doubt that you both are correct. However, I am trying to figure out where this is stated. I can find the "no use" rules for turkey and waterfowl, but not deer. Can someone point me in the right direction?
i've been all over the DNR website, what they print out is not a complete version, i suggest you check out your county conservation officer and see what he has to say on the matter. the only things you can hunt with an electronic call in iowa are predators and snow geese... i am 100% you cnnot use them on deer and turkeys.
Straight from the DNR website. Deer- You may not use dogs, domestic animals, salt or bait, handguns except as previously described rifles other than muzzleloaders, automobiles, aircrafts, electronic calls or any mechanical conveyance or device to hunt deer. It is on page 6 of the PDF.
