I'm sure most people experience it, get pics of bucks in velvet and you start guessing score. Then, they strip it off and you are like WHAT??? :D

Card pull today has many of the bigger bucks out of velvet, seems the youngun's are holding on for some reason.

No doubt man! I have been watching one all summer. Daylight pics almost ever other day. His velvet pics are awesome. I've got 3 years of pics of him now, making him a minimum of 5.5 yr old. Sheds velvet....and wait for it...he's spindly!! Damn haha

I hear ya!

Card pull today has one with long spindly tines that he is probably going to bust up in his first sparring session...

Wish seasoned opened last Saturday instead of today in WI. He was at 15 yards at 6:30 PM while scratching his ear with his rear foot...AND he looked like he carried a lot of mass in velvet still!

Oh well, in still targeting him as he is in the age class I'm looking for anyway.

We had a 10 on camera last year and he did this to us...I had him at close to 170 gross in velvet and the velvet came off and he went down considerably. I may have been a little high on my guess to begin with but the neighbor ended up shooting him and he went 155.
