My girlfriends parents just bought some ground three weeks ago that is in a very good area for nice bucks. First shotgun season the man that they bought it from asked if his nephew the nephews son and mom could hunt there and we said it was fine. I go out to hunt there now second shotgun season, at first light i have 11 does and a little buck come by so i take one of the nice sized does since i had a doe permit. About an hour later while i'm still hunting b/c i saw the doe go down in sight and b/c i had another either sex tag i notice somebody walking in. It is the neighbor's son. He says i'm on his land even though we just had our land surveyed and there is a stake 50 yards away from me showing that i am on our land so i just quite argueing and get down. He ask if i got anything and i say yea a doe. He then precedes to think that he is going to take it b/c i "shot it on his land" I told him he wasn't and if he still thinks that he might i will call the county game warden who i know very well b/c he is a friend of mine. The kid leaves. Now i find out later that night through a good friend of mine who know's the guys who hunted there before me that they are pissed about me being there. This just aggitates me b/c they don't even own the land now or before, they just hunted it. Some people just need to grow up, with those kind of people its very apparent to see why it is so hard to get more younger people to start hunting. The thing that is even stupider is that the old landlord helped get everything straightened out about the over the line dispute to make sure that i had a good time and now his family that used to hunt the place is going to start problems. I guess the point that i'm trying to make here is don't be so uptite when hutning, there are plenty of deer to go around, if someone gets a deer that you were hunting yea it will be a dissapointment but at least it didn't die of old age never to be found and be displayed as a "trophy."
