Video Camera Advice

The Hunt Never Ends....
I'm looking for advice on a new video camera to buy for this upcoming bowseason. It doesn't have to be HD, but preferably atleast meet GL2 standards. I am looking to spend less than $600. I am wanting the camera to have a flip screen as I will be by myself much of the time. This camera is going to be used by me just to document my season, not for 'professional' use.

If any of you have any opinions or ideas, or are selling a used camera then reply or send me a PM. Thanks :way:

Don't have a camera or know much about em but I'd be your cameraman, only if and when you become a "profesisonal" on the outdoor channel using the "7 deadly tactics" you throw your cameraman a bone and let me shoot one. :D

GET HD. You wont be sorry. Canon and Sony make some nice handheld HD cams with built in memory. U should be able to find something in that price range.

We have a Sony A1 HD, been using it for about 4-5 years. Definitely a good cam, just wish it had better zoom capability. The Canon cams are good as well.

what are you planning on doing with the footage? if you can get by without using tapes, you'll be much happier. I film all my stuff on SD cards and will not use tapes if I don't have to...
