Video question (Sony Handycam Hi8 )

Does anybody know how to transfer a video from a Sony Handycam Hi8 with an 8mm tape onto a computer?

There was a CD that came with mine that I bought about 5 years ago that had a program called Pixela or something like that. Once you installed the software on your computer you clicked on the Capture Icon on the program and than hooked up the USB cord between your computer and the camera and played the footage and it would download on the computer.
It really wasn't that user friendly but I made it work.
