The four new hunter management areas in Johnson, Carbon, <st1:City w:st="on">Albany</st1:City> and <st1:City w:st="on"><ST1


These additions are available because of contributions made by sportsmen to the Game and Fish Department’s AccessYes Program’s Walk-in Program and cooperating <st1:State w:st="on"><ST1


“These companies and landowners should be commended for their key role in the good stewardship of these lands,” said Gov. Dave Freudenthal. “As we all know, particularly in the eastern half of our state, access is a prized commodity. We understand that these folks don’t take granting access lightly, and we sure appreciate their willingness to participate in this program which provides such an important benefit to the hunting public.”

Hunters must obtain a permit to hunt the management areas either online or at the state’s game and fish offices. Walk-in areas do not require special permission to hunt.
Hunters can begin applying for HMA permits on July 14.
