Wall of Shame

JNRBRONC

I just got back from the Iowa State Fair. I made a point of going through the DNR building. A trophy deer mount caught my eye. As I walked over to look at it, I noticed a display of trophy deer heads. Upon close examination, I saw that each were bearing evidence tags and a press release announcing the arrest of one Mr. Waters on federal poaching charges was hung in the center of them. If you happen to make it to the fair, I would recommend that you stop for a bittersweet look at some phenomenal racks. There is one that has some crazy multi-pointed G2's with huge "back"/drop tines sticking off of it. Another has a double row of tines off a main beam. There is also a rack with multiple forked tines. I was both awed and disgusted at the same time.

almost makes a person sick

Arrest,I persomally would tie that guy up on two seperate elictrical wires and then turn the "Juice" all the way up.
Forgive Father for saying that ,but,it is idiots like that, that give the animals rights groups so much fire power.

I was at the fair today and saw about 8 racks they weren't mounted. Are they the mounts you were talking about? All the evidence tags had the same date. I think they were all poached by the same guy. I just scanned an artical they had hanging there and it said he poached 30 deer 9 elk and some mule deer in the last few years. Those were all some awesome bucks. Has anyone heard what his sentence was?

I was there yesterday as well and those would be the ones he is talkin about. He only got 57 months when it should have been a whole lot longer. Also has he ever said whom else he helped haul deer out with?I don't know how people like that can sleep at night. It flat out makes my stomach curl.

a yeha the one with all the forked tines he came behind one f our farms! that deer could not run do to a arrow shotthrough his back legs by a nieghboring hunter and all he could do shuffel but he jsut disappeared during the middle of the rut waters farmed catty cornered of us
i asked craig jackson about the deer and he said the was so many of them that every museum would get acuple to diplay

There was an accomplice from Iowa City that was also charged. I recall he plead out, not sure what the fines were. I also read in the paper that Water's mother drove him around and would drop him off for his "hunts". I think the article stated she was possibly facing charges.

Yeah, 16point, I think I have a descendent/relative of the multi-fork buck on the wall of my shed. It looked awfully familiar. If it came from where you said, it's quite possible.

Heard they would go in ahead of time and bury all their survival gear, then go back later, (Dropped off at night)and just live there until they got the animal they wanted.

I don't understand how anyone could live with themselves after the atrosities they committed.I wish I could have seen any of those deer alive. The only shots I would have taken would have been with a Nikon 35mm camera, until hunting season was officially open.
