Depends on what u like. Pegs are easier to carry into the woods but harder to use. Climbing sticks can be long and heavy to carry. I like the pegs expecially if I mite be moving my stand before too long. Only thing is you cant use pegs on public land.

Not worried about the public land part, I have tons of places to hunt. Pegs are less expensive too.

Sticks are way safer than pegs/steps. If it was me, I'd be using sticks and leaving them with the stand.

agree with the previous two.. I have sticks for every stand I have.. thats a crap load too

IMO, I would buy sticks & save some money and go buy a Lone Wolf or Summit and carry in your stand. I have a Lone Wolf and love it.

If your gonna go with steps get the gorilla steps. Walmart had them on sale for $0.88 a piece which is a steal. I bought 75 of them.

I know it seems expensive at first especially at your age, but a set of Lone Wolf sticks or Muddy sticks will go along way in the frustration all of us have had with putting up a stand.

I know you save money buying them in the sets, but you could always keep your eyes peeled on Ebay or other hunting related forums or just buy them individually from your major outdoor stores.
