Warm weather blues

Either the warm temps (damb Al Gore must be right) or the October lull has the deer moving late, at least that's what I'm seeing. I sat on a field edge Sunday and I didn't see anything till 6:45. Tried to outsmart myself and moved to a stand a bit farther in the woods and only saw a teenager chasing a girl. On a bright note I did rattle in a squirrel that hunt.

Your hunts have been more exciting than mine. The squirrels are totally ignoring me this year.

I saw a nice buck at 4:20 last night. Came busting out of a standing corn field and ran down into a wooded draw. Other than that, pretty quiet until late.

Chicago Meteorologist said only 8 yrs in the past 130, have had an 80' temp this late in Oct,,up there. Supposed to cool down for sure, but not intense by any means. I suspect my tomatoes will still be ripening next week! Record highs almost reached, kinda reminds me of last year.

Just heard om WHO, DesMoines has set record of number of 80' days and above this year, for any year. Even dating back to the 1930's. Al Gore is smiling....
