Warren County buck down!

October 29th was the night for me! Was sitting over a CRP field, and noticed a buck moving out of the creek bottom 100 yards to my left. I grunted at him, he looked up then continued walking. I decided to let him do his thing. At about 5:50 P.M. i rattled. Nothing came in right away so I was skeptical about how the night was going to turn out.

Right at 6 P.M. here this buck comes 30 yards in front of me! Did not see him before then. He was on a mission, and was all puffed out. He walked into 10 yards before I stopped him, and released my carbon express arrow equipped with rage broad head.

The shot was slightly quartering to me. I smoked him right behind the shoulder, and it exited out the other side right before the guts (luckily). He ran 40 yards and stopped. I watched him stand there and sway back and forth for a short period of time. He then crashed and I almost fell out of the stand with excitement. I waited til dark and climbed down. Found him right where he dropped and took some pictures, then got to work!

Off to the taxidermist soon!

Congrats! Love when a buck comes in like he is going to whup some butt, but then finds a hunter patiently waiting :). Awesome before and after photos as well!!!

Sounds like an exciting hunt! Nothing better than watching them get weak-kneed and hit the dirt! Congrats! :way:
