Water proofing your Double Bull?

Has anyone here attempted to water proof their blind? Was wondering if you had much success and what you used. I don't plan on using mine for anything other than turkeys, so a little odor isn't a big deal.

I have set in that blind in a all out down pour and it really doesn't leak. The water runs down the sides. You could use camp dry if you really wanted to put something on it.

Thanks Limb,

I was wondering if that would be the case. I just purchase a new model. The black coating on the inside kinda looks like it would be water resistant. I used to have an older model, without the black interior. It would leak with a good rain.

The stitching seams may leak as well, but very minimally. A simple spray down like Limb described will take the woes away. Personally I've not had problems with water getting in while sitting in the rain. Good luck.

If the seams leak, try using some "Seam Grip" that is available through any good camping/sporting goods store. It's used to waterproof seams on tents, adn I'll bet it'd work on the Double Bull.

...my experience has been the same as the guys above...however, when the big drops come it sounds like you are sitting inside a big drum - I know I have scared a few toms off when this has happened...any suggestions to eliminate the problem?...I have unpopped the center (roof) hub but then the rain comes runing through the funnel I just made...

You could pile up some cedar limbs on top hershey to decrease the drops making it to the drum at full speed.

maybe a couple hundred of those sneaky leaves?

i'm sure wally world has seam seal for tents, too
