Weather maps /Percipitation Map

[Central Iowa]

For remote land owners and managers this is something I find useful that I thought I would share. I'm sure many of you already know about it but many I'm sure don't. Nice to check in the morning and see if you caught an overnight storm or not. You can also click the past 1 hour total when strong storms move through.

This is by far the best site for rainfall totals. Hit Iowa Overview to start and then go to the top right corner and do cumulative rainfall.

It takes a little bit to get figured out but use the guides on the bottom of the screen to see anything from recent totals up to 2 weeks ago. Then click on the map exactly where you want to look at and it will zoom in.

I think that is off. We didn't get 8+ inches of rain in the past two weeks here.
