Weather Pressure.

Just got back from my property in southern IA. So far the winter,,as is typical,,not that big a deal on the deer,,until last 16 in. storm. Now deer digging around to get to just the field grass, along with what rye I have left. The steady cold, this winter, and now the deep snow,,obviously putting a little hurt on them. Thaw coming is a good thing!

A friend of mine recently found a big tom hanging in a tree frozen, hoping the deer fair better.

What part of which state was that in? Since 2000, between 5 hard winters and lots of cold rainy springs, our turkey population is way down since the late 90s. Turkey numbers haven't been the same since '99. Not even close. Winters of 2000-2001 and 2007-2008 we lost a lot of turkeys in southern WI.
