I got this picture the other day and the rack is very weird looking, it appears to have very blunt tines and beams. Is it just a weird shot and really isn't or is this just a really old buck?
I'm pretty sure that's because he's moving when the picture was taken. IR doesn't capture motion as good. I highly suspect it's "blurred" and he doesn't really have blunted tips. Just my thought.

I thought the same thing, blurry focus resulting in a "squared off" look to the tines. Either that or this guy ran into a bandsaw somewhere. Is there any logging going on in your timber?
I'd guess blurry/poor focus, too. If you look at the far main beam "tip", you can see an actual point in the blur and you can see the piece of branch through the blur. Same with the near main beam and brow tine. You can just make out the antler tips in the blur.
