What a disappointment!

So I'm out hunting, seeing a couple of small bucks and does, no shooters. When all of a sudden out steps a really wide 8 point. Not terribly tall tines, but very wide and he had a cool drop tine! Sweet! He comes in close enough and I decide to shoot although I didn't have a real great look at him. The shot is good, he runs away. After waiting awhile myself and some friends start tracking him. They ended up getting to him before I did and I was in absolute awe when I saw him! WAY bigger than what I had thought. Still a main frame 8, but with a couple drop tines and LOTS of trash. 29 points in all! I was ecstatic about this incredible deer that I just took!

And then I woke up, on the recliner, with my baby girl sleeping on me. It took me a second to realize it wasn't real, to say I was a bit disappointed would be an understatement....:thrwrck: Haha! I'm still sad.

It must be November:way:

Anybody else having dreams like this?
 
Mine are always monsters that vanish out of site, just before I can get the shot off.

Or another one is where I am shooting at a monster and the bullet drops out the end of the barrel. LOL
 
Last night I almost shot an awesome 10 with double drop tines. After i made an awesome open field stalk on him. As I was drawing I woke up.
 
In high school I had a recurring dream that I would have a couple times every deer season. In the dream I would always be driving home from school and get just outside of town and see these two MONSTER bucks in a CRP field that is on the edge of town. I would slide to a stop in the middle of the road and try to sneak up on them, I would get into range and shoot at one. I would miss, bucks stand there and look at me, I'd shoot again, miss. I would do that a couple times and then wake up. :(
