what a society we live in....

I know this isn't deer hunting related but I need to vent. A 76 year old man was killed by a hit and run this morning in Beaverdale. We think it was our paper delivery man. The shop I work at is just down the street from the intersection where it happened. A 21 year old girl with no license and no insurance drove off. Who could do such a thing? I know it would be a scary feeling but come on! Take some responsibility! I just can't imagine what she was thinking when she drove off. Who knows had she stayed she might have been able to save his life and get paramedics there quicker. Its crap like this that make me think the world is being FedExed to hell! My thoughts go to his family.

I am pretty pi$$ed of too. I live in beaverdale just a few blocks from where this occurred. There is not one street that has a speed limit of more than 35 mph. How can you not see someone and stop in time if you are going the speed limit?! Beaverdale is also known for being very family established community with lots of kids running around and riding their bikes. It makes me want to throw out spike strips on my street when I see these idiots doing 50 down a 25. I'm pretty sure I know who the gentlemen was that got hit. Condolences to his family.

It is unbelievable, it kind of reminds me of the hit and run in ames. The girl driving tryed to start off by saying she thought she hit a deer so she didn't turn around, but it was dead middle in town. I hope they catch the person and they really have to pay the consequences. Just living with the fact of killing someone is going to ruin them for life.

Is this what you are talking about?

[/ QUOTE ] yeah. there are two different reports whether she stayed at the scene or not. either way she should have been driving.
