What are deer feeding on now?

It's fun to see what deer feed on at different times of the year. Right now I'm seeing the most feeding activity on alfalfa and clover with soybeans coming in third. How about everyone else? What are your deer eating?

Beans are number 1 in my area. The farmers have been trying to get the most out of their clover fields and with these dry conditions in western Iowa, the fields don't bounce back with very much new growth. But the beans are full of deer, especially near any water sources. Have fun scouting.

On my way back from walleye/wiper fishing on Saylorville last night and saw several deer in the beans! a couple of them had some headgear but nothing too big. Wow does this cool front get you thinking of the deer stand or what!

Mostly soybeans....caught mamma and her fawns out feeding this morning.
