What are the contests for 2004?

Thought this forum needed a jump start. Just wondering what we're going to have for contests this season since we're only a month away now? For the guys registering to help farmers with deer problems, what about the most does taken in the greatest number of counties? I might be hunting does in four or five counties this season.

I am planning on harvesting several does this year here in Page County.

I do have a question if anyone can answer it for me. Is it legal to hunt does during the anterless only season in January with a .44 magnum handgun?

any weapon legal for deer in iowa is legal in the bonus season. bow, muzzle, pistol, shotgun...take your pick and pop some does
