What are your favorite off season activities?

Hey guys,

Just wanted to see what everybody else's favorite(non-deer related)off season hobbies/obsessions are. If your like me it's assumed you all shed hunt/shoot/scout all year, so let's hear what else you're in to.

For me it's musky fishing, golf, Rocky Mountain refreshments, and blonde cowgirls. Let's hear it.

Scout around the timber and hope to find a good area and sheds. Start to concentrate on turkey hunting. Fishing - trout, ponds, and Mississippi River. Golf once in awhile. Work out on the bowflex, run, tennis. And enjoy those Rocky Mtn refreshments. Shoot musket, rifle, and bow. Boat ride, ski, and tube.
 
Golf, shoot, walleye fishing, watch cars go in a circle, used to do a ton of water skiing and wakeboarding (no ski boat now but it is on the list). Mostly catch up on honey do lists that have accumulated during turkey season...

I made a promise to myself not to get into anything else besides hunting, shed hunting, fishing, and fly fishing. That way I will save a lot of time, money, and space in the garage.

And I think golf is for people that dont have any other hobbies, or are trying to impress their boss

Being a coach I love baseball in the spring and am getting the guys ready for the first game Feb. 21. Besides that I work my bird dogs, turkey hunt, golf, fish, (caught my first musky last summer on my honeymoon in northern minnesota and am hooked. Would love to do that again, he was 49" long and weighed just over 40lbs.) Doemaster where do you go to catch musky? Just curious if there is anywhere closer than the 8 hours we drove last august.

I have been a sprint car fan since the late 70's (saw my first race at the age of 14). Now I shoot some sprint car photography for certain race publications.

This car is running about 125 mph. My nephew also races and gave me a ride last summer in a two-seat sprint car. WOW, what a rush. Bout wet myself during the first lap.

Yeah buddy! I am addicted to and I live in Maryland. I cant walk past the computer with out looking to see if someone posted a new message. I dont think there are a better group of hunters out there than this group, there is a lot of knowledge to be shared here.

What about spending time with the wife after the hunting season? Got to come out of the woods and catch up sometime!

DIET! DIET! DIET! So I can climb trees this fall. It's a vicious cycle. I do start out slowly so I don't hurt myself. I start by walking (shed hunting) and then move into running (to set up on a gobbler). My diet is of the low carb variety (eating all the deer meat, turkey and then fish I can hold). Then around mid October, I go with Headgear to his Inlaws to hunt and begin the ritualistic "HOGFEST"!!! Dang his Mama-in-law can cook.

Motorcycles ....ride ride ride. Got a Vmax and my new chopper (Big Dog) should be in anytime. Can't wait. I'll be at the rally in Sioux City in June. Doing some trapping now ,turkeys next and then bass.
 
Walleyes,Bass,Crappies.
Crows,coyotes,rabbit,shed hunting.
Trap,Skeet,Sporting Clays,reloading.
and Golf.

I think I have enough to do.
