what blinds?

Hey Guys, just curious what everyone is using for blinds, other than double bull. Just mainly trying to see what everyone likes, whats got plenty of room. Mainly used for bowhunting, do you guys have a cameraman in them with you? Do you put another blind next to you for that? I guess, I have a Ameristep Doghouse, and it is not roomy at all. I am not a little guy, and its a pain to draw my bow in it, so I cant imagine 2 people in it. Any help would be great, thanks :way:

I have always been a Double Bull guy, and I still think they are Grade A Blinds. But this season, I have had an opportunity to test out a new line of blinds. Covert Command Post XL

Covert Blind Review

I'll be perfectly honest with you, this blind blew me away! It is 73" square and 80" tall, perfect for beef cakes like us! So far we have killed/filmed 5 birds out of this blind, and if the birds had cooperated this weekend, it would have been 6. For bowhunting and filming, this set up rocks due to the extra space. It is slightly heavier than a DB, but not enough to notice. Its worth hauling it in to hunt out of. All black interior, etc. etc. etc. But, one thing I have noticed is the rods are more flexible than the DB making it a quicker and quieter set up, IMO.

Here is close to 575 lbs of meat... including the turks.... :D

Well worth the look if you are interested in a big boy blind... :drink1:

Great looking blind except this

"8 Velcro windows"

How do look out he other windows to see if birds are coming? Not dissing the blind I have never seen one let alone hunted out of one. But have had blinds with velcro windows in the past and not going down that road again.

Any blind that you that lets you shoot out the corner of the blind will give you better use of space.

The windows are not completely velcro'd to the blind, rather there are a few tabs holding them in place, making it simple to separate the window from the blind with your finger and peek through. Not sure if that adequately explains it or not, but I should take a few pix to better illustrate what I mean... but the way they have it works great with what you asking....

I like my Primos Vision for the $. Roomy enough for 2 and seems durable. Magnets for fastening windows so it's also quiet.

I've heard good things about Rhino blinds and Barronett blinds. I'm just going off of what I've heard but they look like a solid product.

I just checked out a Rhino Evolution XP a couple weeks ago.....very solid blind. Reinforced in all kinds of places. The shop owner said the company making them is owned by the guy who originally made the DB that was then sold to Primos, etc, etc, and now he's back out making this one (not sure how valid that is) but the blind was sweet. $300 at the shop I was at.

I am going on season three with my Primos Vision with no problems so far. The ONLY thing I don't care for is the corner zipper can be a little tight to close sometimes but some bow string wax seemed to help that issue some. I love how it packs and it is up and down in a flash. The best thing is I can buy two of these blinds for what I would give for a Double Bull. :way:

I also got to agree with the Primos Vision for the money[$120?]. Bought 4 last fall that stayed up all winter, untill the frost came out and I could get the stakes up. Did'nt break any rods or rip any seams and the color still looks good, not faded. I shot my non-typical with my bow last December out of one that had been up for less than 1 week on a terrace on the edge of a picked cornfield. That one I dug a pit deep enough to stand and shoot out the windows, useing the dirt to line the bottom of the blind and hold it down and to make a great pile to sit on. That one is still up for turkeys.

Primos Vision :way: For the price you cant beat them, I bought one last fall and another one a couple of weeks ago. The magnets on the windows are super quiet. Very well built blind for the money.

I've got a dark horse and don't plan on changing anytime soon. Great blind and plenty roomy for me, plus DB (primos I guess) is pretty dang good with customer service.

I also have several of the Dark Horse blinds and they are great. Too good to leave out all year.Compared to the ameristep blinds in the same price range the Vision blind is a much better blind. The ameristep blinds fade real quick and the seams rip apart is heavy snow and strong wind. You are going to break rods in any blind if the roof is not braced in heavy snow. One of my Visions pulled out the ground last winter and blew over a cliff down into a standing corn field but did not break or rip anything.
