I went out hunting with a buddy last night and came up to a trail camera, stand, and a mineral block on the other side of the fence. Took pictures, should I contact the law? We've had problems with them tresspassing before and I believe they'll do it again if they're hunting over mineral. I believe the property is leased out running right up to our 400 acre piece of ground and it's only a 5 acre spot but they seem to take all of our deer we're after.

For what reason? They can have a mineral site. You have no proof they are hunting over it?

if it were me i would contact the your dnr officer and let him decide what to do. most likely he will want to watch it for a while to try and catch them in the stand hunting over it.

If what you are saying is the mineral block was right in front of the stand then ya I would call it in. I was out scouting out an area of public gound before opening day and came upon a stand with a pile, like a whole 50 lb bag of rock salt dumped literally 15 yards to the left of a freshly hung stand. I got a couple of pics and just happened to mention to the local CO. He was thankful for the call.

I found a cornpile in from of a stand a couple years ago, on a farm that only i had permission to hunt. I called the co and he sat watching it for a few days hoping to catch someone shooting a deer over the corn. Whoever it was pulled the stand down a week later.

Its on the other side of the fence? But obviously close enough that you dont have to go onto that ground to take a picture?
