About this guy? Shooter or not. He is in an area that has a lot of hunting pressure. I would like to see him a year from now but not sure he would make it.

I would say pass him.

The guys I know that say "if I didn't shoot him somebody else would" never shoot big deer and it's because of this theory.

You may be one person and he may get shot by someone else but at least you gave him a chance to be a stud.

If I think I would have the deer mounted then I would shoot. If not let him walk... If we would have let all the little buck racks we have sitting in the garage or on shelves collecting dust walk another year or two we would all be having taxidermy bill problems...

Kind of thinking the same thing as BigMac, if he's going on your wall, drill him, if not let him walk and enjoy the fun of the rut.
