What is this ??

Last August I got my first taste of food plots. Two plots were put into Oats and one Labor Day weekend plot went into a mix of Whitetail Clover and Whitetail Extreme.

Attached are some photos taken a couple days ago and I was wanting to know what the taller plant images represent (some form of weed or what)?? I know this may be obvious to some of the more experienced members of this site with lots of food plot history, however, I would still appreciate your insights.

I am struggling to find the time to put anything in yet this Spring and wanted to address whether to try to salvage some of the clover plot or not.

Thanks.

I agree, cut it and see what happens. Take pictures after you cut it and when the clover starts growing back. Hopefully you get rid of whatever that weed is.
Good Luck!

Mowing it now will not do much good IMO, its a cool season so its already went to seed.

Stay on top of it next year tho.
