I'm going out on a limb here, but I think if the weather cools down like its supposed to , the last of Oct. into the beginning of Nov. could be pretty good.

The calendar says we've got a full moon coming the 9th of November. Anytime around that date should be good.

Personally i have found that the best time to be in the woods is from November 1st- the 10th i know thats when i will be hunting my hardest! good luck

Well....I was going to take off Nov. 13th-Nov 30th., but now I, with reading what you all posted, I think I will move it up to Nov.8th-Nov.23rd, and try my luck.

I am having a hard time deciding which two weeks to take off as well. With the full moon, comes a lot of night time activity. Which means a lot of bucks won't be up and moving until after dark. Also the first week of Nov. has been hot the last 3 years in a row, and this year seems to be heading in the same direction. I am really leaning towards the 8th thru the 23rd to maximize time in the stand. I hate to miss out on pre rut and rattling, but if it stays warm, I don't think I will see any action until there is not enough light to shoot. As a part of my plan, during the end of the full moon I will be doing a lot of morning hunting on doe bedding area fringes and travel corridors hoping to intercept bucks still on the prowl. Evening stands will have to be closer to buck bedding areas and staging areas. Also by extending my season into late Nov., I can still do a lot of rattling to bring in those mature bucks still cruising for does and hunt a lot of bottlenecks.
