I have had a buck I have been chasing not appear from this stand in a good week and last time I saw him ne headed towards the center of the property, which is a good 200 yards away. Last time I saw him I think he caught my wind and the does have seemed to disappear. I want to move it to the center where I think this deer is moving but I am not sure but in this spot I saw a good bucks chasing does last year so I know there will be good deer there. I don't really have the money to go out and buy a new stand so I don't know if I should move it, from a spot that was good a week ago but since the bucks starting chasing I haven't seen does in this spot where the stand is now. Any help would be appreciated.

Exactly, when I went out this weekend, I sat on the ground, didn't move a whole lot, and had 3 does walk by me about 50 yds away, didn't even look my way. Also I had about 30 turkey sneak up behind me, downwind and they were about 15 ft away from me. Tree stands are nice, you can see a whole lot more, but you don't "HAVE" to be in one.
 
Sitting on the ground works just have to be concealed and extra careful about movement and wind. I did it about 2 weeks ago and had a nice buck stand broadside at 25yds for about 5 min. Wasn't a shooter or he would have gotten slammed. It is a little different shooting from a kneeling or sitting position too but it still works.
 
I love hunting from the ground. You dont have to have that perfect tree. Also if there is a good spot but not alot of concealment just snip some branches and build it up around you a little to help hide yourself. I also will pull up weeds and grass and lay it across the branches i put around me to help with concealment. Your heart pounds when you are 20ft in the air and a buck at 20yards. Now imagine being eye level with him at 20yards. Sometimes i forget to breath. I LOVE BOWHUNTING
 
Well tonight I ended up trying the stand out 1 more time. So to say the least I'm tagged out il get a pic up and story once I get pics with the camera and have internet on the comp. My phone won't let me add pics.
