Bowhunting is a great magazine, but my hands down favorite is Big Buck from Canada. If you want to see some huge sheds, plus great articles on everything from bear to huge whitetails you need to check it out. I wished they would publish it monthly, 4 times a year is just not enough for me.
If you like to hunt all kinds of animals with a bow, Petersons is the one but if you are after big mature bucks, North American Whitetail is the one, hands down.
I would probably pick up bowhunter again if I had more money to waste.
I used to get Bowhunter in the 70's & 80's & 90's, but have had to reduce my magazine budget. They all start looking the same after a while.
I have archery magazines going back to the 1940's. It is neat to see the cycle of information and stories. About the only thing really new is some of the stuff in the advertising.
There are a lot of concepts in todays magazines that have been around the wheel before. Just new folks giving them a roll.
