Is the WHA still going ahead with thier game? If they are,
Who is televising it?. ESPN? Who's got the $$'s behind it?
What's going on with the sponsors?
I'd like to know who else is involed with it. There's an opportunity for us to put pressure on the right people to stop this retarted idea.

And what the hell boat did they get off to call themselves a "hunting" association anyway.

I see Eastman, G5 and others has pulled thier support, which is good. But they only pulled thier support because most hunters where coming out against this. These companies that all race to get to our wallets 1st should maybe take a step back and think before they jump.................

I watched the video and still don't get what it was supposed to show. Some sort of a game? Reality TV show? Maybe someone can explain who knows more about this.

This has got to be the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen / heard of. "Worlds Greatest Hunters"... hmmm shooting deer in a high fence scenerio... yeah, that makes you a great "hunter"... another example of some corporate suits trying to generate another money machine. I would personally make it a point to boycott ANY supporter or product vendor that would put their name on this sort of "event"... When is enough going to be enough???

i saw a similar "hunt" as this on american archer. they guy shot a white rhino, in africa, with a tranquilizer dart on the end of an arrow. they had a vet on hand, and had the rhino measured, then released. the "hunter" was so emotional, the he was in tears.

i, on the other hand, was stunned. not the type of thing i would shell out the big bucks for.

i believe the outfitter was www.tamsafaris.com. i hit their site, but couldn't find anything on the price of a "dart hunt"

After they "dart" the animal, is it going to lay down and be taken care of? From watching wild kingdom in my younger days, the "darted" animal could run off before anyone was able to get to it. These "darted" animals could run out onto the road where someone could get seriously hurt by hitting the animal. Personally, I don't think that this is a smart idea.

Not likely with the high fenced enclosure and all.

Teeroy, I saw that rhino hunt too and it sure seemed kind of dumb to me to be trying to tranquilize it with an arrow. Didn't seem all that exciting to me and definitely not something to cry like a baby over. .

Made me wonder if they were just too cheap to pony up for the cost of the hunt so they were offered the tranquilizer hunt free for the outfitters publicity.
