Whats your take on fletching color?

I try to stay with reds and oranges, I hear those are colors deer distinguish the least because of the cone count in their eyes. I like the idea of crested or even white fletching, but it just makes me leary of them being able to pick up the movement easier. Then again I try to draw at the most opportune time when they shouldn't see my movement anyhow... did I pretty much answer my own question, lol.

I use all white with a white wrap but I am not a pro or do I have a clue what I talk about I just think it looks cool lol and it is easier to see blood

I've used just about every color combination I can think of, and I have never noticed deer eyeballing them. I have noticed that turkeys seem to pick up on fletching color pretty easily. I guess I kinda figure that if a deer is gonna look up in a tree and notice my small fletchings, it sure the heck should of noticed me first

I use white vanes and a flourescent knock. The contrast helps me see the arrow flight when shooting at a deer. The white feathers are also easy to recover on the ground and blood shows up well.

Thanks for the input. I think the white fletching and iowa wraps look sharp. Didn't consider florescent knock, thanks.

I agree with Scott I.C., blood shows up easily on white fletching, which makes it easier to distinguish what type of shot you made - i.e. thin/thick/coagulated/bubbly blood or intestines... the combination of white fletching and white arrow wraps also show up great on film.

Call me crazy but this year I went to an all yellow combination and I swear that at least half a dozen times I was picked up by a doe and I wasn't moving. I could see them coming for quite a distance. My bow was moving in the the wind each time and I think it was the fletching. Research shows that if deer can see any color at all, blue and yellow are at the top of the list. I am going to all white next year.

i think i am going to go to white blazer vanes with the IW wraps. and the brightest nock i can get

Anything that makes them more visible after they leave the riser. I have IW Wraps and trueflight white barred feathers

I read that info as well Hobart so I stay away from those colors. I've done all white in the past with a white arrow wrap without any problems. I'm using red and black with a white wrap now. Who knows what next seasons arrows will wear.

These are my new wraps for target and 3D. I use IW white wraps with flo green and white feathers for my hunting setup!

The MIA arrow wrap Supertec posted with black and white. The nock color depends on whom I shooting with.
