When do most of you start your late season hunt's?

Just wondering when most of you start your late bow and muzzleloader hunt's?I'm thinking that I should wait until after the new year is over but then I start thinking about all those day's lost and wonder if maybe I should be going.Also what do most of you all hunt morning's or afternoon's?I usually hunt almost all afternoon's but was wondering if a guy should be hunting morning's too.
 
can't kill 'em at home. i'd love to start the day after shotgun but work and holiday get togethers force me to push my first late outing till friday.

I LIKE THE AFTERNOONS TOO, BUT HAVE DROPPED DEER IN THE MORNINGS ALSO. SINCE YOU HAVE MORE RANGE WITH A BLACKPOWDER I PREFER TO MOVE MY STANDS FOR BETTER VISIBILITY AND COVER MORE AREA. BECAUSE THE DEER TEND TO BE MUCH MORE SPOOKY AFTER SHOTGUN SEASON, HAVING A STAND OFF THE BEATIN' PATH CAN BE AN ADVANTAGE. GOOD LUCK..

Can't always hunt when I want. So I tend to go with high percentage days. And that comes when it is cold for a while and better yet when there is good snow cover. For me this herds the deer up in some privite ground areas I hunt. Deer come up out of the jungle bottoms. Then I watch, from a distance. Give me one fawn in heat amongst the does and you can bet that one of the biggest bucks in your area is around. Unfortunatly this weekend looks like it would be a good weekend for golf not deer hunting. I'll pass on some hunting this weekend to be sure I can be free the next weekend. It gotta get cold!!!!! But you got to take what you can and as the saying goes, Ya ain't gonna shoot one from the couch. Go when you can.
 
I have not stopped.........just went from mid-season to late season. Every chance you go is a chance to kill a bruiser. Yesterday while pheasant hunting in IA, we had a 125 inch 8 chase a doe right past us and the dog, grunting the entire way. That one little doe looking for attention just may draw out a B+C later in the evening.
 
Already done. My Dad and I went out and filled our doe tags on Monday.

Old Buck is being modest, he should of said a REALLY REALLY BIG DOE .
I have been out myself, still waiting for them to calm down before I really hit it though.
 
i hunted monday and tuesday so far the hunting has sucked, the deer have been on pins and needles where i hunt. i did manage to smoke a doe on tuesday though. im not going back out till the last week and its gonna be awesome goodluck
 
I've taken 2 does so far this week. Now that the freezer is full it's time for a little trophy hunting for the remainder of the season.
