Where will they go??

OK we are combining our corn and have seen some nice bucks. My question to you is where will this buck go when the corn is gone...there is no timber....some groves...a small crick about a mile from the field. Where is he gonna go?? nearest timber is 10 miles approximately.

depends i have seen big bucks hang out in fence lines or they have been known to travel up to 10 miles

Where the does are. Where nobody else will go. And where there is a food source. They can hang out in the open, a creek, brushy fenceline, etc for quite some time.

Until they get moved or the cold pushes them someplace else for more cover.

Is the Silver Minnow Bar still open in Royal? If so tell the owner that the Team from Ragbrai summer before last that bought all the antiques and strapped them to their bike trailers says hi.

As far as your question, I've seen a huge buck that used a little grove about 1 acre in size, approx. 200 yards behind a farm house as homebase far a couple seasons. No one ever bothered him and he stayed. Hopefully it works out for you. Keep me posted.

I've jumped a buck more than once in a little patch of weeds that would barely hold a pheasant.They could go anywhere.
