I'm finally looking to upgrade my trail cams this year and am most likely going to switch to coverts as I always see good things about them on here. My question is what camera does everyone recommend? I like the illuminator as I have almost always used flash cams
 
Can't go wrong with any of them but the mp8 is amazing, I also use the cheaper mpe6 and have absolutely no issues 20,000 plus photos on a set of batteries. The only negative about the mpe6 is the IR is a little weak
 
Mp8 since they don't make the mp6 anymore . Wise choice switching to covert , have any problems give them a call .
 
I had two MP8 last year and both of them took an incredible amount of false pics....like filling a card in three days...I called and talked to covert about it and they decided they would just send me two brand new cameras...they have awesome customer service for sure...that being said if I was going to buy any camera today it would be the browning strike force....same price as most coverts and "suppose" to be an incredible camera...just my two pennies

Can you still set the picture interval to 5 seconds ? I thought it was only 30 seconds on the MPE5 ? According to the description the MPE5 has presets - I dont remember my MP6 having those but its been a while since I played with it!

let me rephrase they put the 6mp camera in the mpe5

I have had good luck with both of the micro cams by Browning, The Strike Force and the Dark Ops.

Trail cam pro gives great info. Hear good things about the browning cams. Bad about covert and they rate pretty low on their list especially since they are not the cheapest. This is the only place that I hear people rave on them. I guess people give good reviews on all brands, depends on what you want, expect, and are used too.
 
I was having some issues on my Spartan Go Cam and I got some great information from Anthony @ ChasinGame.com ( not his email address but is the website )

Great reviews and one on one communication on helping me get this camera going!

I have used several cameras with exception of Reconyx and Covert is the only one I have yet to have a malfunction with!! I never saw the light until Sligh gave me one to try and man was I a fool for not trying it sooner, customer service is A+++
 
I have a Covert camera and have been very impressed with the customer service. That being said, I think mine is an MP6 Black and I have not been impressed with the IR pics at night. Do any of you have examples of night time pics from other IR Covert cams that you would be willing to post? I am planning to buy another, but I would like better night pics.
 
I love love love my red 40s. But I picked up 5 of the mp8s at the iowa deer classic at a steal....don't have an official opinion as they are currently in the woods and I haven't checked them yet
