Shed Head!!!
This past weekend my oldest son found an 140" dead 8 pointer. It appears that the deer had been dead for quite a while, however, there is still some velvet attached to the brow tines.
The skull is fairly white with no fur or meat and the antlers are very white with the exception of where the velvet is. I want to do a skull mount and am thinking that I should stain the antlers, however, I have no idea how to go about it.
Anyone with any ideas on the best way to accomplish this task???
