Whitetails Unlimited's Social Media Venues Up and Running
Stay in touch with WTU via Facebook, blog, and YouTube.
Whitetails Unlimited's social media web locations are now up and running, allowing members, field directors, chapters, sponsors, and anyone interested in the white-tailed deer to stay informed and entertained.
"Getting everything running has been interesting and fun," said Jeff Davis, editor of Whitetails Unlimited Magazine, and the staffer designated with implementing and maintaining WTU's social media sites. "There's been a lot to learn, but this is going to be a fantastic way to provide information and stay in touch."
The easiest way to access the blog or Facebook sites is to go to WTU's website home page, www.whitetailsunlimted.com, and click on the icons at the very top of the page. "If you 'Like Us' on our Facebook page we'll be added to your existing Facebook page. If you are not currently on Facebook this is a great way to get involved."
The WTU blog is also active, and already has a number of postings. "Just click on the blog icon, the orange one, at the top of the page, and bookmark the site just like any other website," said Davis. According to Davis the blog is going to include stories, information, recipes, gear reviews, organizational news, and other items of interest. "We always have much more material than we can fit into our print magazine, and the blog is a perfect place to publish that information. A great advantage of the blog is that it is always there, and it is searchable, so you can go back and get that one recipe or story, or find similar stories." The blog also allows readers to comment.
A WTU YouTube channel is also available, where hunters can post their videos.
The Facebook and blog icons are available at the top of each page on the WTU website, www.whitetailsunlimited.com.
