I bought a 26 gun Fort Knox. Their #1 safe against fire and theft. Dry weight 1900# Cost $3900.00. It is top notch.

I have a Browning Fire Safe and like it a lot. It has a digital keypad, elk emblem, gold handle....Works out great. Spent about 2 grand on it....cheaper models are available and just as theft and fire proof as mine. I would recommend one if you have kids and valuables

I own a Bull Dog gunsafe, the reason I chose this one was price and it has a built in dehumidifier(sp). It was around 800 bucks.

Got an 11/22 Winchester Safe from Sam's Club last year. $699.00, 650 lbs. Met my needs perfectly. Last time I was there they still had them.

I've got one of the larger Frontier Safes that the local sporting goods store carries and it is pretty sweet. I also have the digital key pad and really like it. It cost me $1650.

Moving it is the hard part. We luckly have a walk out basement so we didn't have to take it down the stairs. I rented a pallet jack and invited 7 of my buddies over for some venison tenderloin and then right before you let them eat you tell them you need a favor. The store wanted $300 to move it. A couple cold beers and some old doe tenderloins did the trick

not even comparing. and not really worthy for storing but, i just made one this weekend out of an old "waurdrobe" closet thing. Keep people away fromthem anyhow!

Holy cow! I have to tell you guys about one helluva gun safe.
My Grandpa had a friend that did earth moving for a living. He dug a hole, poured a concrete floor, somehow got ahold of a BANK VAULT, pushed the vault on to the floor, poured some walls for a foundation & set a trailer house on top. That vault was his gun safe! You could fit 4 people in it easily & it was lined w/ racks & shelves. I remember him showing me his 257 Roberts & other rifles. He had gobs of guns! That vault is still in the basement under that house. The only way that vault will disapppear is if the house disappears.

A couple of months back I picked up a Sentry Executive (gun) safe. It comes with the hardware to store 12 guns, but they didn't plan on the guns being scoped. I can't get 12 in it. It has a combo door and there is a little lock box inside. There is a false floor where pistols could possibly go. It has no fire protection but I have a rider on my house insurance for guns in case of fire. I mainly wanted to keep curious and criminal hands off of them. For $290.00 at Lowes, I couldn't pass it up.

DOR - I have one from Cabelas. It's not fire proof, but it holds around 12 long guns and has a couple plastic shelves. It keeps the kids out and things locked up. Cost me around $350. I like mine and would buy it again, but like I said, it's not really theft or fire proof. If someone wanted mine bad enough, they could either carry it away (it does bolt to a wall though) or cut into it.

I have a Liberty that is 30 cubic feet and will hold 24 guns. It weighs about 800lbs and the cost was around $850. I bought it mainly for the kids safety, even though they were always locked up this is a little more insurance.

Purchased a Browning Pro Steel Gold 30 gun fire safe in 1990 for $1400. It works out great. I figured it would be worth it in the long run not having to have a "writter" on an insurance policy specifically for guns.

Any four fellas that think they can carry it off can have it. VERY HEAVY
