I am willing to help out any Iowa hunter who would like to try to harvest a WI Black bear. I will do the work,Set the stands run the baits etc.. you just come and hunt the established baitsets gun or bow It don't matter. In exchange for some good whitetail land to bowhunt on Prefer zone 4 or 5 but that can be worked out if the Whitetail land is good. My baits are mainly private land sets and will provide gauranteed sightings or I will not put you on them. If you looking to do a hunter swap let me know. I love to help those out who would like to harvest a nice Blacky....

I would be very interested but won't be able to bear hunt this spring or possibly this fall even. What's an out of state bear license cost?? My ground that I hunt is in Jackson County...about 600 acres private ground.

Muddy , I beleive the application is only a few dollars for NR's and when you draw a kill permit I believe it will run you about 130??????? not sure can get exact if you want. If you would like to start applying you'll need to get on the WI DNR web and get the proper info or I can get you the phone number of our local Ranger station and Mary can hook you up on what you need..... You will get a shot on a bear here if you draw a tag...... I'd say in less then 1 day or if you want to hold out for a monster as long as you want to sit!!!!!I'll even video the hunt for ya!!!!! I got bears trashing my bird feeders daily . We have lot's of bears!I'd love to take some good Iowa Whitetail .com guys on a hunt they will not soon forget. You guys got to get in the application.......

What zone would I need to be going for?? Looks like 2 are available. I think I could round up $200 for expenses by September!! I'm gunna shoot you an email if you don't mind.

Muddy,
our apps.start today are you going to want to apply and plan on a hunt when you draw? 3-5 years

I can set you in 1 of 2 zones I live on the dividing Hwy...... Yes, It will take you several years to draw a Bear kill permit but it will cost you only , I beleive 3 bucks to apply per year. Muddy ,,,,, I was hoping some guys here already had drawn a permit..... It does not look like anyone has...... If you want to take a bear here I can help you.... but you will need to do some applying for your permit... Zone B is going to run you 6 years or 6 preference pts.. bears are more and seem larger in zoneB. But in zone C Preference Pts mean less and you can draw every year, they say. But I would say 3 years may be the rule to draw zone C....I have great spots in both zones.. One spot I have on State land zone C has taken a bear every single season since I put in the set back in 1994.......and one was a 408 lber.. I took a 210 lber dressed, off that bait in 94.Bear hunting here is high success and extremely exciting , but it requires you to apply ........ I do not need a place to hunt this fall . I am merely looking to help out some of the great hunters of Iowa and would like them to inturn help me if they can....... I just like to bait bear and most folks around here have taken their fill of bears. I like to see new folks and their excitement in getting up close and personal with Mr.bear......

You can use your Bow ... or rifle or slug gun . and If you do not have a bear gun I have one you can use, if you want. I know how valued the private bowhunting land is down there especially if it holds good bucks.
If anyone wants to get started with applications for tags I'll get you the phone number. just e-mail me. If you did Muddy I may have deleted it as I didn't recognize it.

Is it that one that you're using for your avatar?? If so that's dandy.

Thanks for the number, I'll check my email and see if it came through.

Actually Muddy, that deer is a WI deer. The deer I took last fall in Iowa was smaller but still very nice and looks good on my wall as well. I used that pic because I already had it in my files. Good Luck with the application .
