Wooly worms

Isn't the saying something like if there are a lot of wooly worms in the fall it will be a bad winter?
I was out checking cameras today and these guys were everywhere.
Things were crawling all over me and the truck on the drive home.

Looks like a healthy "plot"!

I always heard that lots of black woolies in late summer means an early fall. I've been seeing a ton to.

I've heard that about the black ones and come to think of it, I've been seeing them on the highway lately. I consulted the "Old Farmer's Almanac" the other evening and it forecasted a cold snowy winter for Iowa. Between these two "omens", look out, it must be true!
