World Record?

There's a guy here at work originally from IL who was notified of a buck shot around Macomb that B & C has green scored at 288". Non-typical with 44 to 48 points. He claims to have pictures but they're taken in a garage with the head in a bucket etc, you know the kind of pictures I mean. Does anyone have any info on this?

I have heard the about this buck. Second hand info but it was from someone who lives in Fulton Co., Ill. Heard it was possibly shot around Lake Argyle area. This friend said the same, that it would be a possible record.

what kind of record, like for the weapon he was using, it would be the biggest shot with that weapon or what? its certainly not the biggest to be shot by a hunter so whats the world record about on this post?

Have heard about this deer also. Supposed to be some pics posted at Farm King near Macomb. They are saying it shoudl be the new IL NT state record have not heard about it being more than that. Waiting for pictures to surface as deer seem to grow here on the net.

It could be somekind of muzzleloading record as thats what is being said about the weapon. Jerry Bryant's(sp?) buck should be the IL nontypical record. The upper 200 score is being said to be gross score. Still a brute.

I've seen the picture but don't know how to post it on here. If somebody would tell me how to, I'm not familar with UBB Code thing.

Nope thats not it.That deer was taken in McDonough County though. The 40 pointer(if it has that many)is very massive but the only record I think would be in muzzleloading if that was the weapon. It would be a big suprise if tops Jerry Bryant's non-typical for the IL record.

I received the pictures late last week. If anyone would like the, I'll send them to you.

All the pictures I have are either in a bucket or the caped out head lying on the floor.
I'm not sure what record they're referring to. I was just passing along info I received and I thought everyone would be interested in the big head.

I was back in that area for Thanksgiving and here is what I heard, all 2nd hand. The buck was killed somewhere around Spring Lake, so it may have been public land. Spring Lake was one of my fishing spots when I was in college in Macomb. The mount is locked in a safe to guard against theft. 44 is the number that I heard on the point count.
