I read somewhere that deer like this dont shed, and that they just keep growing and dont loose the velvet. Ghost can you tell if they keep getting bigger?
 
Yes, I think she gains mass and more stuff each year.

In southern climates they continue to grow and grow.

What happens here, is the living tissue freezes and breaks off...like the picture above taken in late January.
