Heard 2-3 bucks grunting tonight
One of them was working a tree over pretty good.

Heard the rutting moon is a week earlier this year than last year.

Thoughts on maybe an earlier than normal rut??

Saw 7 bucks tonight biggest was maybe 140. Grunting all night shredding up trees all night. 1 Young Buck ran a doe from one end of the field of the other. Great sit tonight

Took my 5 year old to sit in a blind with me. We got snort weezed and stomped at for 2-3 minutes by a nice buck. My son was pumped!

My friends and I all saw scrub bucks bumping does around this weekend like we do every year about this time. Had a 3 year old ten come out last night before dark. He was more interested in food and just watched the youngsters do their thing a bit and fed off by himself.

Cold snap got the youngsters fired up as usually. Scrape cameras are blowing up with activity but it's still all at night by mature bucks. Once they start daylight walking then it's go time.

I actually had a young 6 come in this morning with 2 does following him. that's a first for me this time of year. usually the other way around haha

I grunted at a buck last evening, he turned and went the other way. I did notice about 5 newbies that showed up, all 1 1/2 year old dinks, they're the only ones chasing and that's just briefly.

Return to a spot that I killed my first bow buck at. It's pretty notorious in my mind for younger bucks getting after does early. I'm hoping one of the young ones drags a good one out. Happens quite a bit.
